About Conference

About Conference:

Globally, every year the stubbornness of neonate mortality is drastically increased. With reference to WHO, 8.8 million deaths occur annually among infants and children in less than 5 years of age. Due to Neonatal diseases around 36% of neonatal deaths are occurred every year. The professionally-oriented educational training to cure neonatal diseases is vital to clinicians and clinical academics and that will enhance the future generation, to be the key area for global health. In 2014, worldwide total pharmaceutical revenues had exceeded one trillion U.S. dollars for the first time. In 2017 the neonatal intensive care secured a revenue valuation of US $5.9 billion. By 2025, the global market for neonatal intensive care is expected to earn around the US $ 9 billion.

Session on Neonatal Diseases

Neonatal diseases are existing before birth or at the time of birth or even develop during the first month of the infant. The maternal health factors such as high Body-mass index and external pollution could also affect the infant’s immune system and leads to the invading of neonatal diseases.
Neonatal diseases such as,
I. Perinatal asphyxia: There is a lack of oxygen during the birth process. It may lead to seizures, kidney failure, heart failure
II. Bronchopulmonary dysplasia: It is a chronic lung disease in premature infants. The lung and bronchi are affected during the neonatal period and lead to dysplasia.
III. Hyperbilirubinemia: It is a condition in which there is more amount of bilirubin in the blood. It is caused by the mother’s immune system produced antibodies against the infant's blood type.
IV. Neonatal Respiratory distress Syndrome/Hyaline Membrane Disease: If the lungs are not fully developed it may lead to Respiratory distress syndrome or Hyaline Membrane Disease.

Neonatal Infections are infections of the newborns. It may occur during prenatal development or before the first month after birth. During birth, if the child swallowed the body fluids, bacteria or viruses may affect the newborn's immune system and leads to neonatal infectionsSepsis is the most common neonatal infection. It is a blood or bloodstream infection and It can be caused by bacteria (Escherichia coli, Listeria).

Neonatal Syndromes are a group of symptoms occur together and affect the health of infants. The infants affected by syndromes will suffer at their early or later stage in their lives.I. Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome:
Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) is a group of conditions. When a baby is exposed to addictive opiate drugs while in the mother’s womb may lead to the NAS. Mostly the problems occur at the later stages of life.
II. Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome:
Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome is caused by intrauterine blood transfusion from one twin to another twinTTTS mostly occurs when the blood transfer between identical twins with the common monochorionic placenta.

It may affect the heart walls, valves and blood vessels of the infant. Congenital heart disease is a common Neonatal cardiac diseaseNewborns affected with the Congenital heart disease are symptomatic and the disease could be identified after birth. If there is any delay in diagnosis may lead to high-risk to increase the mortality rate.

Session on Neonatal Statistics

The neonate's survival requires high specialty care for the first month from birth. There are many possibilities to increase the infant mortality rate in their first month, globally nearly one infant dead in 1000 live birth in their initial stage after birth. The neonatal mortality rate (NMR) is weekend into the early and late mortality rate. Worldwide around 2.6 million infants die at their first month from birth.

Market Analysis

Market Size and Growth: The global neonatology market has been growing steadily over the years, driven by factors such as increasing preterm birth rates, advancements in technology, and rising awareness about neonatal healthcare. The market size can be estimated by analyzing the revenue generated by various segments within neonatology, including devices, drugs, and services.

Preterm Birth Rates: Preterm birth rates play a crucial role in shaping the neonatology market. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), an estimated 15 million babies are born prematurely each year. The prevalence of preterm births varies across regions, with higher rates in developing countries. Factors such as maternal age, multiple pregnancies, and socioeconomic factors influence preterm birth rates.

Technological Advancements: Technological advancements in neonatal care have significantly improved patient outcomes and enhanced the efficiency of healthcare delivery. Innovations such as advanced incubators, respiratory support devices, phototherapy equipment, and non-invasive monitoring systems have revolutionized neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). Analyzing the adoption rate of these technologies and their impact on the market is crucial.

Rising Focus on Personalized Medicine: Neonatology is witnessing a shift towards personalized medicine, tailoring treatment plans based on an individual infant's genetic makeup, clinical history, and specific needs. Genetic testing and molecular diagnostics are gaining prominence in neonatal care, enabling early detection and targeted therapies for genetic disorders. Assessing the market potential and growth of personalized medicine in neonatology is important.
