After birth, Infants have an immature immune system, it leads them to high risk for infection. Neonatal vaccination is meant to avert a sickness in infants. Vaccines, such as Hepatitis B-vaccine (HBV), Bacillus Calmette Guerin (BCG), Rotavirus vaccine (RV) are able to evoke protective neonatal responses. Anesthesia and Intensive Care, is a subdivision focus on the critically ill neonates and aim to improve understanding of circulatory and metabolic stress. Pediatric radiology is a subspecialty of radiology involving the imaging of neonates.
